Heel pain is a common complaint encountered in the athlete and in the general population. There are many conditions that present as heel pain. Those most commonly encountered in clinic include; calcaneal fat pad contusion, calcaneal stress fracture, achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis and heel spurs.
These conditions can be accurately diagnosed by a chartered physiotherapist and the majority can be treated successfully in clinic.
